It's time to reactivate this blog, isn't it?
There are less than 5 weeks to go for the Two Oceans (56 km - 23rd April) and 10 weeks for the Comrades (86 km uphill - 29th May). The training is running pretty good so far, the pace looks good and I'm feeling quite fit.
Compared to 2009 (552 km) and 2010 (578 km) I did less km in January and February combined (478 km) this year. In the last two years the Two Oceans happened to be at the beginning of April, but this year it's at the end of April, giving me almost one more month of the year to prepare. I assume that I'll have more km under my belt at the start of Two Oceans eventually. The march goes pretty good so far.
My plan are still 4 training runs/week and 1 session at the gym for "iron work". The milage per week is 80 - 95km/week. My training pace is definitely higher than the previous years. Despite the training, there are 2kg I need to loose ;)
My goal for Two Oceans: sub 5 hr. If the weather and body are good that day, it will work.
From now on I'll post every training session here in my blog!
